Site work for a water / sewer project in Los Altos Hills, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work for base and alternate bids includes, but not limited to, mobilization and demobilization; potholing all crossing utilities; cleaning/de-rooting and color video inspection of the sewer mains prior to construction; replacing existing sewer mains with the pipe bursting method method; replacing existing sewer mains with the open trench method; rehabilitating an existing sewer main with the cured-in-place method; reconnecting sewer mains to existing manholes; modifying the concrete flow channel; reconnecting 4 sewer laterals to new sewer mains; installing new sewer manholes; raising manhole frames and covers to grade; providing post-installation cleaning, and color video inspection; repair and/or replacement of pavement markings, restoring all improvements disturbed by the project at various locations throughout the Town of Los Altos Hills; replacing landscape in kind to the original condition; replacing the asphalt pavement, and replacing all damaged properties caused by this work. Work under this Contract is to be completed in EIGHTY (80) working days for BASE BID and THIRTY (30) working days for five ALTERNATE BIDS. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE. Both Class A and Class C-36 Contractors Licenses are required for bidders to bid on this project. If a bidder does not have the required license classifications, the bidders bid proposal shall be considered as non-responsive and the bid will be rejected. Docs note : (b) Complete sets of said Contract Documents may be purchased at fifty- dollars ($50.00) per set and are obtainable from the office of the City Engineer/Public Works Director, Town of Los Altos Hills, Public Works Department, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California 94022. No refund will be made of any charges for sets of Contract Documents. An additional charge of $10.00 will be made for each set of Contract Documents sent by regular mail with the U.S. Postal Service. A Bid Deposit equals to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid shall be placed in the sealed proposal. The Bid Deposit shall be in one of the following forms: cash, cashier s check, or certified check payable to the Town, or bidders bond in favor of the Town executed by an authorized surety company. S. Performance guaranty bonds as set forth in Section 4-2 of the Special Provisions will be required from the successful bidder. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Town may require, to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality or minor irregularity in the bids.
