The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) is pleased to issue this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the fabrication of trail directional and other miscellaneous metal signs on an as-needed basis. The quantity of signs per order will include anywhere from one sign to fifty signs at a time. The vendor(s) prequalified through this RFQ will be offered an agreement for metal sign services for a term of two years and an amount not to exceed $52,000 total. In order to be prequalified, vendors must satisfy the minimum qualification requirements. The District then will offer contracts to up to three vendors offering the lowest prices. The District is seeking metal sign manufacturers who are known for their quality of work and cost effectiveness. It is preferable that vendors have successfully completed similar projects for comparable governmental, environmental, or nonprofit organizations. The District plans to select up to three metal sign vendors offering the most competitive rates that meet the qualifications requirements of this RFQ. These prequalified vendors will then be asked to prepare cost proposals on an as-needed basis during the term of the agreement. In selecting a vendor from the prequalified list to complete a project, the District will consider the cost proposal for each project and the ability of the vendor to meet the District's schedule. The selection of a vendor for a specific project is at the District's sole discretion.
