Renovation of a fire / police facility in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

a) Existing generator to be carefully disconnected from electrical/ gas service and set aside. b) Completely demolish existing concrete pad, concrete bollards, and trash wood enclosure. Remove all debris from site. c) Build new 6'-0"h.wood enclosure with wood gates around trash area and generator with new 6" reinforced concrete pad configured at the existing location and as noted on drawings. Slope concrete slab at each area 1/8" per foot for drainage. Slope slab to meet existing drive level. Provide downturned concrete trench foundation walls along pad perimeter. Walls to bear minimum of 42" below adjacent grades. Note- no new grading required. Meet existing grades and elevations. Install new 6" diameter concrete filled bollards at enclosure for protection from vehicles using the drive area. Install new 7'-0"h. wood slat wall between generator and trash area. To alleviate additional sound from generator, install sound attenuation padding on 7'-0"h. separation wall. d) Install new sound enclosure (if possible and available) over existing generator- contractor to verify details and conditions. e) Extend existing or install new wiring between the existing transfer switch and generator new location. Contractor to review the condition of the existing transfer switch and advise the owner of re usability. f) Excavation shall be required as necessary to provide power feed extension to new location. g) Care shall be taken during excavation as to not damage building and/or grounds. Site conditions to be restored to pre-construction conditions after completion of work.
