Contractors interested in bidding on the Building component and/or the Concrete component should provide a bid for both components, with the Concrete & Building sections of the Bid Schedule completed fully. Bids for these two components will be combined. The district will be evaluating bids for the three main components of the project: 1.) Excavation, 2.) Well, and 3.) Concrete & Building. If a contractor chooses to bid on all project components, it should be understood that each of the 3 main components of the bid will be evaluated individually and they may only be chosen for 1 or 2 components. Areas with Schedule 40 PVC, SDR-35 may be used instead EXCEPT where Schedule 40 is called for as conduit for the electric. The Access Road will be resurfaced with 4" of 2A Modified as called for in design. The 8" of AASHTO #1 should not be included in the bid since the base material currently in place is sufficient. Excavation Contractors should not bid to strip frost. Polyethylene pipe 1.5" should be used for the waterline. The floor will be grooved. The water well must provide a minimum of 5 gallons/minute. The roofing material will be steel or aluminum (color: dark gray). The Building Contractor will be responsible for installing electricity from the utility pole to the pump room in accordance with the following specs provided by UGI for non-residential, underground service: all conduit and wire are to be installed at least 36" deep and with 36" radial sweeps on either end. Schedule 40 3" PVC must be used for the conduit. Leave 36" tails out of the weather head on pole.
