Marion County Public Works Department (County) is issuing this Request for Proposals for an On-Call Trail Development and Outreach Coordination for use by County for assistance in design, establishment, re-establishment, and maintenance of our trail systems, as well as assistance with community outreach. We are seeking assistance with rebuilding and expanding the Marion County Parks trail system and enhancing our community reach. These services will assist with meeting the Parks program goal of providing a trail network that enhances outdoor recreational opportunities while preserving the natural environment. This RFP's Scope of Work has been divided into three Service Categories. Proposers responding to each Service Category within this RFP must be capable of performing the sample tasks and services listed for each. The listings below are intended to indicate the broad and diverse range of services the County may contract for, not the scope of a typical Task Order. The purpose of this project is to rebuild and enhance the trail systems within the fire-damaged parks, as well as to enhance and create new trails in parks throughout the entire extent of the Marion County Park system in a way that anticipates how the public will recreate in the future while also building climate and environmentally resilient parks that future generations can enjoy. Marion County is requesting proposals in three Service Categories and anticipates the award of up to three contracts for this RFP. The initial term of each Contract is anticipated to be 3 years with options to renew an additional 2 years for a maximum term of 5 years.
