Sitework/Utility Construction for Johnson Park Sports Complex The work will include but is not limited the following: the construction of an entrance driveway, three (3) separate paved parking lots, one (1) gravel parking lot, with associated site work including but not limited to striping, sidewalk construction, fencing, lighting and landscaping improvements, construction of a trash enclosure, installation of one (1) flagpole, and installation of one (1) Identification Sign; drainage improvements including but not limited to the installation of approximately 2,000 LF of drainage piping (various diameters), various drainage manholes and inlets, and the installation of four (4) water quality structures; water system improvements including but not limited to the installation of approximately 2,000 LF of ductile iron piping (various diameters), installation of fire hydrants, and installation of a heated enclosure with associated appurtenances (to be coordinated with the local water utility); sanitary sewer improvements including but not limited to the installation of approximately 430 LF of 30" sanitary sewer and 165 LF of 4" sanitary sewer, installation of sanitary manholes, and temporary gravity sewer bypass piping and pumping system; and electrical system improvements including but not limited to the installation of approximately 3,250 LF of 2" rigid nonmetallic conduit and 3,250 LF of 4" rigid nonmetallic conduit, installation of electric pull boxes, and the installation of a primary enclosure electric vault (to be coordinated with the local electric utility). The work will also include the movement and disposal of existing Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) material that currently exists on site. This RCA material will be utilized as subbase for the site work wherever possible, and the remainder of the RCA will be exported and disposed of as necessary. The scope of this project does not include work associated with the construction of the proposed sports complex structure or other scope associated with the proposed sports complex structure, including but not limited to foundation system(s), HVAC system(s), or other appurtenances for the proposed sports complex structure. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the City of Hackensack, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The Successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond and Payment Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The envelope must also identify the Bid as City of Hackensack Sitework/Utility Construction for Johnson Park Sports Complex. The City of Hackensack reserves the right to consider Bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept Bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms.
