Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hackensack, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a parking garage; for paving for a parking garage; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work will include but is not limited to milling and paving along Atlantic Street as well as full depth pavement reconstruction of Parking Lot A & Atlantic Street Garage entrance; which also entails concrete curb and sidewalk replacement. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunities for training and employment shall be given to Lower-Income Residents of the Project area and that, when possible, Contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area Residents. Bids for Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by a written Affirmative Action Plan. The City of Hackensack reserves the right to consider Bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept Bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City, to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Proposal Forms. Small, Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to obtain Specifications and compete for the Contract. Requests for interpretation or correction of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to, and be in possession of, the Engineer and to be given consideration must be received at least 10 days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
