The Town of Hillsville is seeking proposals from qualified construction companies to build a new police department at 915 North Main Street in Hillsville, Virginia. Proposals will be accepted under the guidelines of the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act (PPEA) procurement process. Plan Holders List not available. The Town of Hillsville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to award the contract to the lowest and/or best bidder whose proposal is deemed most favorable to the Town of Hillsville. This new construction project will involve a one-floor building with an approximate size of 4,896 square feet (68 feet wide by 72 feet long) and a detached two-bay garage with an approximate size of 625 square feet (25 feet wide by 25 feet long). Both the building and the garage will have metal roofs, sit on concrete slabs, have six-inch cementitious siding, and have three-feet brick wainscot bottom trim. The building will also have fiberglass columns on the front porch that runs along the entire width ofthe front of the building. Besides the two structures, the construction project will also include grading, remodeling, landscaping, etc. the front of the lot that runs parallel to North Main Street, grading, paving, landscaping, etc. the side of the lot that runs parallel to Edgewood Drive, and grading, paving, landscaping, etc. an employee parking lot that will be located behind the building. The interior of the main building will include the Main Office and the Lobby, Lieutenant, Investigator, and Sergeant offices, the Chief of Police office, a Conference Room, an Interview Room, an Evidence Room, a Work Area for Patrol Officers, a Locker Room to include a restroom and shower area, a Galley-Style Kitchen, a Supply Closet, a Utility Room, several closets and storage rooms, four additional Restrooms, and a Server Room. Must have requirements for the Server Room will be plenty of supplied power and will be climate/temperature regulated.
