Demolition, site work, remodeling and renovation of an educational facility in Durango, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
Columbine Building Big Picture High School - Durango 9-R School District Remodel a portion of the second floor of the existing Columbine Building for The Big Picture High School. Note that the first floor of the building houses the 9-R District Office. Existing building is fully fire sprinklered (NFPA 13), modifications per MEP drawings. Building to remain B occupancy (office use) in some areas, to change to E occupancy in others. The project scope includes major remodeling: o Demo existing walls and construct new to create larger classroom spaces throughout west and south side of upper floor. o Construct new egress doors to all classrooms o Create an open commons area with adjacent pre and serve kitchen o Construct operable partitions to several classrooms o Infill several walls to match existing where existing interior doors are removed o Create two new ADA compliant public restrooms o New finishes throughout remodel as required Existing structure to remain - no change to site or footprint.
