LMRDP CSO Storage Tunnel (Broadway To RDP Tubes) (Macklind Demo) Purpose The purpose of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's (MSD) Business Diversity Programs is to ensure that contracts are awarded in a manner that promotes omotes economic inclusion across all segments of its business and maximizes opportunities for diverse participation. MSD will take all necessary and reasonable actions to alleviate and address any documented disparities identified by the results from its 2022 Disparity Study Update, conducted by Mason Tillman Associates, LTD. MSD promotes fair and open competition for meaningful participation of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) and for minority and women workforce participation on Non-Building Construction projects. Location Located at 1600 Macklind, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Bids not submitted on District provided forms will be rejected. The proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check on a bank or trust company in St. Louis County or in the City of St. Louis or by a bidder's bond, for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount as bid security to the District. The work to be done under this contract consists of the asbestos removal and demolition of the 1600 Macklind building, rubblization of the building floor, and proper disposal of demolished materials to be constructed in an area located at 1600 Macklind, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. The Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost for this project is $1,714,000. The Contractor shall commence work within ten (10) days after the date of written notice from the District to begin and shall complete all work within two hundred twenty (220) calendar days after the expiration of such ten (10) day period. If the Contractor does not comply with the foregoing without a written, District approved explanation he may be removed from the list of eligible bidders for future District construction projects until further notice. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more.
