Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

St. Louis County Project No. AR-1795, Federal Project No. STP-5513(603) consists of removal and replacement of deteriorated and/or damaged pavement, pavement surfacing and texturing; superpave asphaltic concrete overlay, removal and replacement of sidewalk and curb ramps, and other incidental items on Ferguson Avenue from Page Avenue to St. Charles Rock Road. The successful Bidder or Bidders shall be required to comply with the most current applicable Federal (Davis-Bacon Act) and State statutory provisions concerning the payment of prevailing wages on public works, Section 290.210 through 290.340 R.S. Mo. 1959, as amended. All contractors must be on the Missouri Department of Transportation's approved contractor listing, seven (7) days prior to bid opening. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on a public works project shall provide a ten (10) hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. St. Louis County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. All questions must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 12, 2025 via e-mail to Jill Allen, JAllen@stlouiscountymo.gov. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid. All checks shall be made payable to "Treasurer, St. Louis County." The right is reserved by the St. Louis County to reject any or all bids. The DBE Goal for this project is 6% St. Louis County shall issue Notice to Proceed no later than June 2, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of $950 per day will be charged after the expiration of the time stipulated for each and every calendar day that all work remains uncompleted. . The Contractor shall begin paving operations within twenty-four (24) hours of the completion of milling operations, or as directed by the Engineer on Ferguson Avenue. An additional $500.00 per calendar day will be charged for each day after the expiration of the twenty-four (24) hour period specified has passed.
