This RFP is for the design of the Jurupa Road Storm Drain project west of Soto Ave in the City of Jurupa Valley. The proposed storm drain alignment will run through a proposed easement on the property located at 7253 Jurupa Road. The plan must be designed according to the City of Jurupa Valley standards, Riverside County Road Improvement Standards, and Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (RCFC&WCD) Standards. According to the RCFC&WCD's Jurupa-Pyrite Area Master Drainage Plan, there are two areas that are tributary to this location. The flowlines of Subarea A15 and Subarea A16, as shown in Exhibit B, converge behind the property in question. The goal is to provide an inlet at this location, one immediately at the rear property and another inlet in front of the house. The intercepted flow would then be conveyed in a new storm drain line located along the north side of Jurupa Road, connecting to the existing public storm drain lateral crossing Jurupa Road, which connects to the existing 78-inch storm drain line that discharges into the flood control regional basin. The hydrology study shall include the rational method analysis of both Subareas A15 and A16 and any other tributary area. However, this scope of services is only for the design of the westerly storm drain line described above. The consultant will serve as the central coordinator for all activities between the consulting team, City staff, and other agencies. Below is a brief outline of the suggested scope of services.
