Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ketchikan, Alaska. Completed plans call civil work for a playground / park / athletic field and sidewalk / parking lot.
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is seeking bids for an upcoming parking lot replacement project located at 316 Schoenbar Rd. Ketchikan, AK, also known as Schoenbar Park. Contractor shall verify all field measurement and current sited conditions prior to proposal submission. Base Bid: Provide the removal, disposal and replacement of asphalt paving of the approximately 920 square yard East parking lot. Work to also include compaction of existing base material, application of tack seal to ensure bond between base and top coat, and topped with 3" bituminous paving. Work shall also include the removal and reinstallation of existing wheel stops and parking lot striping. Striping layout to remain the same as existing. Please refer to attachment drawing #1 Base Bid. Additive Alternate #1 Bid: Provide the removal, disposal and replacement of asphalt paving of the approximately 450 square yard West parking lot. Work to also include compaction of existing base material, application of tack seal to ensure bond between base and top coat, and topped with 3" bituminous paving. Work shall also include the removal and reinstallation of existing wheel stops and parking lot striping. Striping layout to remain the same as existing. Please refer to attachment drawing #2 Add Alt Bid. Additive Alternate #2 Bid: Provide reseal and restripe of the approximately 450 square yard West parking lot. Existing surface to be cleaned of loose debris prior to reseal and restripe. *Project Note - Additive alternate #2 may be awarded with base bid without awarding additive alternate #1. Sizes: Parking lot square yardage provided is estimated. Contractor shall inspect, measure and verify parking lot locations and sizes to determine the correct quantity to be replaced. Anticipated Period of Performance or Completion Date: Contract starts upon issuance of Notice to Proceed and project must be completed on or before May 30, 2025 with final billing by June 13, 2025. Bonding: A bid bond (attached form} will be required in the amount of five percent (5%} of the bid price. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. Sample Performance and Payment Bond forms attached. The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
