Remodeling of a conference / convention center in Ketchikan, Alaska. Completed plans call for the remodel of a conference / convention center.
The Work that is presented in the Bid Proposal for this Contract generally consists of demolition of existing finishes and removal of existing kitchen equipment, and installation of new flooring, counters and kitchen equipment and all associated electrical and plumbing changes needed to complete the work. Inquiries about this project should be made to the Public Works Engineer's office at (907) 228-4732 or amandarobinson@ketchikan.gov Bid Bond A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the form included in the Contract Documents, payable to the City of Ketchikan in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid, as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that if awarded the Contract, the bidder will execute the required Form of Agreement, and give the bonds and other instruments as required. Performance and Payment Security The successful Bidder, simultaneously with submittal of the form of Agreement set forth in the Contract Documents to the City, will be required to submit performance bonds and payment bonds, and in the amounts specified in the Information for Bidders and the Contract Documents, secured from a surety company authorized to transact business within the State of Alaska Ted Ferry Civic Center Kitchen Remodel Contract No. 25-10 1.1.2 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS INVITING BIDS Page 7 of 140 and satisfactory to the City, and on the bond forms contained in the Contract Documents, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the time announced for the opening, or before both the award and execution of the agreement, unless the award is delayed for a period in excess of (60) sixty days. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which Bid Proposal, if any, should be accepted in the best interests of the City. The City further reserves the right to waive any formality or irregularity in the bids or bidding. Bids received after the time announced for opening will not be considered.
