Summary | The East William Street Overhead Utility Undergrounding Project includes installing underground infrastructure for relocating power and communication lines from overhead to underground on East William Street between Carson Street and Saliman Road. The underground pull boxes and conduit will be utilized by franchise utilities to provide service to existing customers currently fed from the overhead lines. This project will allow for the removal of power poles along the corridor currently obstructing pedestrian walkways. Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications and special conditions related hereto. Carson City is finalizing right of occupancy for three parcels which are not currently obtained. The anticipated date for obtaining right of occupancy is April 1, 2025.
