While MHPSF monies may be used to purchase or lease property, proposals that include existing ownership/lease or a plan for ownership/lease of the property will be considered more favorably than projects without a clear plan for property ownership/lease. Proposals that seek to utilize funds to purchase or lease property will have an increased burden to submit proof of due diligence that the property has been inspected and meets municipal codes for safe habitation.
