As of March 14, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 18, 2025. Sealed bids will be received by HOLLIS CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT #328 hereinafter known as the Owner, for the BUS GARAGE EXPANSION project located at Hollis Consolidated Grade School District #328, 5613 W. Tuscarora Road, Peoria, Illinois 61607. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from due date. It is anticipated the Board of Education will act on the bid at the Tuesday, March 18th, 2025. Every bid shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft made payable to Hollis Consolidated School District #328, in an amount equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft in amount to cover proposal(s) being bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid. Commencement of the work will begin as early as April 1, 2025 pending the contractor's submittal of an executed contract along with the submittal of the required insurance certificate(s), bond(s), and any other miscellaneous documents. The work shall be substantially completed on or before August 15th, 2025. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Project Description: Expansion of the existing masonry bus garage on the north side of the school building. Work includes excavation, new concrete slabs, masonry, re-roofing of the entire structure, new fascia, soffit, and gutters with downspouts, overhead door, handrail, driveway pavement, and seeding of the disturbed areas. The project will have an alternate bid to widen and replace the existing garage door which will include a new masonry header and masonry work on the east entrance to the garage. The extent of the Scope of Work is indicated on the drawings and by the requirements of each section of the specifications. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required on the successful Bidder.
