The District of Kitimat has two ice arenas, Tamitik Ice Arena and Kitimat Ice Rink. Both have ice plant refrigeration equipment with ammonia as the cooling agent that we are looking to have maintained over the next three years at regular intervals to meet regulatory obligations and preventative maintenance requirements. The main objective of this of service agreement is regular inspection; to estimate the life of the ice plants, maintenance costs, and accuracy on the budget forecast. The goal is to reduce potential down time of the ice plant, eliminate high expenditures not accounted for in the budget, and operate the ice plants in well maintained operating condition. The District of Kitimat is requesting proposals from qualified refrigeration mechanic service company to perform visual checks, compliance with Technical Safety BC regulations, and efficient, safe operation of the refrigeration equipment. Upon completion the qualified contractor will provide a report to the District on deficiencies, concerns and corrective actions to be reviewed on an annual basis. The report for each facility must contain the following sections: Compressors, MCC, Condenser, Chiller, Etc. Question Deadline 03/14/2025 at 2:00 PM PT
