The Board of Education of Romeo Community Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and all other services to complete Asbestos Abatement at the 9th Grade Academy, for Romeo Community Schools. No bids may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the bids are opened. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the bid packet. All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid proposal. The bid proposal will be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Romeo Community Schools Board, or the Romeo Community Schools Superintendent. All bidders must disclose any relationship with any Iranian Company in compliance with Act No. 517 and attach this information to the bid. The District will not accept a bid proposal that does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements. Proposals must include a bid bond, cashiers check or certified check made payable to Romeo Community Schools for not less than 5% of the contract and must be submitted on the bid proposal form furnished with the specifications. All proposals will remain firm for a period of 60 days and provide performance/labor and material bonds upon award. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part, to award contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
