This contract is for asphalt work only, consisting of pavement planning (approximately 34,651 SY) and asphalt resurfacing (approximately 2,327 CY) on various streets within the City of Findlay or Hancock County. Incidental items include, but not limited to, are adjustment of manholes, and joint sealing. Other minor work is described in the details for each segment of pavement. The 2023 Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Construction and Materials Specifications shall be followed. Required modifications to the ODOT specifications are noted herein. City of Findlay Specifications and Standard Drawings shall also be adhered to where applicable and are available at the City of Findlay Engineering Department, 318 Dorney Plaza, Findlay, OH 45840. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the form of a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Letter of Credit payable to the City of Findlay, Ohio, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) on the contract price will be required as part of the contract. The project is funded through the City of Findlay's Capital Improvements Fund. State prevailing wages and the City of Findlay income taxes shall apply. The project will be awarded to the lowest and most responsive bidder based on the Grand Total Price of the Base Bid and any accepted Alternates as selected by the City of Findlay. The City reserves the right reject any and all bids; and reserves the right to accept or reject any and all optional bids offered; and reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
