Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lynden, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Project Description: The project herein consists of complete and selective demolition of the existing WWTP's Biotower, Maintenance Building, and Chlorine Contact Tank (CCT). The Biotower is an approximately 50-foot-long x 55-foot-wide x 20- foot-tall steel framed abandoned treatment process structure on an elevated 185 cubic yard concrete foundation spanning two, 26-foot-wide channels; the steel structure and foundation are to be demolished. The Maintenance Building is an approximately 60-foot-long x 27.5-foot-wide x 12-foot-tall single story concrete masonry unit (CMU) structure constructed over the CCT that doubles as the foundation. Approximately the eastern 40 feet of the Maintenance Building and respective top 4 feet and top slab of the CCT is to be demolished. Additional work includes: additional select demo, 318 cubic yards of lightweight cellulose concrete fill in the CCT, 580 cubic yards crushed surfacing base coarse, hot mixed asphalt removal and replacement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, existing yard piping demo, trenching, installation of approximately 68 lineal feet of 10-inch ductile iron piping, relocating an existing control panel and communications cabinet, site electrical, installation of approximately 30 feet of 12-inch ductile iron piping, installation of three buried service plug valves, and removal of approximately 11,000 square feet of failing concrete tank coating, removal of lead and asbestos containing materials, and restoration as identified in the Contract Documents. All work shall be substantially complete within 120 calendar days and physically complete within 150 calendar days of receiving a Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check, made payable to the Owner as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. ESTIMATED TOTAL BID PRICE: $2.4 TO $2.6 MILLION *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
