The general nature of the project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for construction of a new composite lined leachate storage lagoon and removal of the existing leachate storage lagoon and miscellaneous associated work, all as specified in the plans and contract. Electronic copies of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents may be obtained for no cost from HLW Engineering. Paper copies of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents may be obtained from HLW Engineering for a refundable plan deposit of $100.00. This deposit will be refunded if the documents are returned in a re-usable condition within fourteen days after award of the project. If the contract documents are not in a re-usable condition and returned timely, the deposit shall be forfeited. The work under the proposed contract cannot start prior to June 16, 2025 without prior approval of the Owner. The work on Division 1 shall be completed by November 1, 2025, subject to any changes granted by the Owner. The work on Division 2 shall be completed by June 5, 2026, subject to any changes granted by the Owner. separate envelope containing bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid as defined in Iowa Code §26.8 and specified by the Commission in its bid specifications and contract.
