Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Van Horne, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
This project has a target for Targeted Small Business participation of ten percent (10%). The general nature of the work is removal and replacement of the existing synthetic turf field located at the Benton Community Football Stadium with new synthetic turf. Work is to commence June 1, 2026 and reach Substantial Completion by July 10, 2026 and Final Completion by July 24, 2026. Each bidder must submit a bid security of 5% of the bid amount in the specified form and be prepared to submit performance, payment, and two-year maintenance bonds upon award. Contractors must not include sales tax in their bids, as exemption certificates will be issued for materials used on the project. There is a ten percent target for Targeted Small Business participation. Bidders are instructed to return bidding documents in good condition within ten days after bids are received and to provide a statement regarding residency status as required. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids.
