The City and County of Denver is seeking anEngineering firm (Consultant) to provide designservices for the Sheridan Boulevard (SH-95),Morrison Road, and Mississippi Avenue IntersectionImprovements Project. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, City and County ofDenver, has issued a Request for Qualifications (the "RFQ") for professionaldesign engineering services for Sheridan and Morrison IntersectionImprovements project. The City and County of Denver (City) is seeking an Engineering firm (Consultant)provide design services for the Sheridan Boulevard (SH-95), Morrison Road, andMississippi Avenue Intersection Improvements Project (Project). See Figure 1 in SScope of Work for a map of the project area. Sheridan Blvd is a CDOT State Highis subject to a contract maintenance agreement with the City. Most of the proposis within CDOT ROW. The Project implements operational and safety improvements identified by a RoaAudit performed as part of the City and County of Denver's (CCD) Vision Zero RoAudit Program. The project consists of the design and construction of the followelements: 1. Reconstruct the existing Traffic Signal including replacement of poles, mast arheads, controllers, and related equipment. 2. Modify Signal Timing and Phasing. 3. Modify westbound to northbound right turn slip lane approach angle and turn 4. Modify eastbound to southbound right turn slip lane approach angle and turn 5. Relocate crosswalk across south leg of the intersection. 6. Prohibit northbound right-turns on red. 7. Provide enhanced pedestrian signals on all movements. 8. Reconstruct curb ramps and other pedestrian amenities for compliance with cADA standards. 9. Mill and resurface all impacted areas. These elements would calm traffic, improve access for people with disabilities, rvehicle crashes, increase pedestrian safety at the intersection, which is on the CInjury Network, and would replace equipment that is outdated or beyond its serv. The ColoradDepartment of Transportation (CDOT) is authorized to establish project goals forexpenditures on construction, reconstruction and remodeling and professional dservices work funded by FHWA and let by the City and County of Denver.
