Site work for a water / sewer project in Scituate, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Sewer system rehabilitation including approximately 15,000 linear feet of CIPP lining, spot excavations, manhole rehabilitation, approximately 10,000 linear feet of CCTV inspection, and miscellaneous trenchless pipeline repairs. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, services, equipment, and materials to spot excavate and replace sewer at four (4) locations; CCTV of approximately 510 linear feet of 6-inch sewer pipe; CCTV of approximately 9,240 linear feet of 8-inch to 24-inch sewer pipe within the MBTA right-of-way, including all MBTA requirements and coordination; CIPP lining of approximately 14,700 linear feet of 18-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch sewer pipe; CIPP short lining of 8-inch sewer pipe at two (2) locations; post-CIPP lining warranty inspection; cutting of protruding service connections; grouting openings to stop leaks; light and heavy cleaning; reinstating service connections; approximately 190 lateral connection repairs; manhole rehabilitation at 27 locations; temporary sewer bypass; paving; and traffic management as specified in the Contract Documents. The Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, apparatus and all other incidental work required to complete the sewer system rehabilitation work as specified and shown in the figures provided in Appendices. The Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: 1. Mobilization and demobilization to the Project Site. 2. Furnishing, installation and maintenance of all traffic control and safety measures during the construction period, including signs, barricades, detours, maintenance of safe vehicular and pedestrian access to abutting properties, businesses and commercial establishments and assuring an uninterrupted supply of utility services to all public amenities, businesses and abutters within the project area, at all times. 3. Coordination of all construction activities with the appropriate local and State Authorities, and utility companies. 4. Attending the Pre-construction Conference and the required job progress meetings. 5. Submission of a construction schedule, list of subcontractors, and proposed source locations for off-site materials. 6. Submission of all required shop drawings, in a timely manner, to the Engineer, for review 7. Perform all field engineering associated with the project. 8. Providing Site Security (temporary fencing and jersey barriers) and other construction site control measures, as needed. 9. Protection and potential temporary removal of existing on-site structures, utilities and features. 10. On-site and laboratory testing, as specified. 11. Civil/site/structural construction including by-pass pumping. 12. Demolition and legal disposal of select concrete, debris, and appurtenances. 13. Obtaining necessary permits and licenses, maintaining all items required by applicable permits, and payment of fees. Including street opening permits, etc. 14. Traffic control planning, devices, and coordination of police details. 15. The furnishing and installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) as required for 6-inch, 8-inch and 18-inch sewer main pipe. Includes pre-lining CCTV inspection. 16. CCTV inspection of sewer pipe within the MBTA right-of-way, including providing all MBTA requirements and coordination. This shall include, but is not limited to payment for MBTA personnel, including flaggers, management staff, inspectors, etc., required by the executed license agreement, and payment for any licensing fees required by the MBTA for execution of the license agreement. The Contractor should assume night work with limited vehicle access and should review all work locations. 17. Post CIPP lining warranty CCTV inspection and repairs as determined by the Engineer. 18. Prior to CIPP installation the Contractor shall cut protruding service pipes, remove roots, grease, and other deposits, and grout leaking sewer mains and building service connections called out on the Figures in Appendix A and as determined by the Engineer during the pre-lining CCTV inspection. 19. Replacement of sewer manhole rings, frames and covers. Riser rings will be furnished by the Owner at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Contractor shall furnish manhole frames and covers in accordance with Section 02570 - Sewers, Manholes and Appurtenances. 20. Maintenance and repair of all work for a period of one (1) year following the issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion. 21. The Work shall also conform to such additional Figures and Addenda to these Specifications as may be published or exhibited prior to the opening of bid proposals and to such Figures in the Appendices in explanation of details, or as may be furnished by the Engineer from time to time during the construction. 22. Work, materials, equipment, and storage areas, which are necessary for construction, but which are not specifically referred to in the Specifications or shown on the Figures in the Appendices, but implied by the contract, shall be furnished by the Contractor at his own cost and expense, and shall be such as will correspond with the general character of the Work, as may be determined by the Engineer, whose decisions as to the necessity for and character of such work and materials shall be final and conclusive. It is the intent of these Specifications to produce a complete, finished job, whether shown in every detail or not.
