Completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. All bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Florida Department of Transportation per Section 2-1 of the F.D.O.T. Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2019 edition for: Grading, Drainage and Grassing, Seeding and Sodding. Liquidated damages for failure to complete project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day. Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for Jackson Street M-SCOP. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. This project is in the town of Wausau, FL and will improve Jackson Street from 4 th Avenue to Pioneer Road. This project includes the resurfacing of the roadway and reconstruction of areas with base failure. New stop bars, grassed shoulders, and thermoplastic striping are also included in the construction. All work is to be completed within the existing right-of-way. Total length of the project is 0.463 miles.
