Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Wausau, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,300-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility.

Separate sealed BIDS for: The project is being sponsored by the Town of Wausau and the State of Florida, Department of Financial Services. The project consists of an approximately 6,150 square-foot pre-fabricated / engineered steel and wood construction fire station with approximately 3,600 sf of garage area, 2,550 sf of finished space and second story unfinished space. Project scope includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building construction and site work. Davis Bacon wage rates and certified payrolls are not required for this project. Project duration is 210 days for substantial completion and 30 days for final completion. Contractors bidding on the project shall be licensed General Contractors in the State of Florida and shall have a minimum 5-years of experience constructing commercial buildings of similar nature. Project is located in Wausau, FL at corner of Second Ave. and State Road 77 on vacant lot across from the Wausau Town Hall. The bids will be publically opened and read aloud. The bids will be awarded at the next scheduled Council Meeting.
