The project involves providing construction services for the demolition and reconstruction of the Town's Community Center located at 1607 Second Avenue Wausau, Florida. The scope includes demolition, site work, ADA sidewalks and ramps, and reconstruction of the community center. This is funded through Community Development Block Grant Corona Response (CDBG-CV) funds to provide a location for Coronavirus testing and vaccinations. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes for the "22CV-S37 Town of Wausau Community Center Project". Electronic PDF copies of plans and specifications can be obtained at no cost by emailing the project engineer, while printed sets are available for a non-refundable fee. The project requires 120 days for substantial completion and 150 days for final completion from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $500.00 per day for delays. All bids must remain firm for sixty days after opening. Compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws concerning contractor licensing, registration, and regulation is required. The project must meet all federal requirements, including Davis-Bacon, Anti-Kickback, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Section 3, and 2 CFR 200. The bid will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder. The Town of Wausau reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
