Renovation of a water / sewer project in Dunedin, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This project consists of the replacement and upgrade of key pumping and support systems at the City of Dunedin's Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Dunedin, FL 34698. Work includes removing and replacing three (3) Return Activated Sludge (RAS) pumps, two (2) Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) pumps, and three (3) Filter Feed pumps, along with associated ductile iron piping, stainless steel and ductile iron fittings. The project also includes construction of new concrete pump mounting pads, replacement of level instrumentation and the instrumentation control panel, and integration with the SCADA system. Additional improvements include the replacement of the existing aluminum access hatch and upgrades to electrical disconnects and associated wiring for all replaced pumps. General: 1. The work to be done consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment, etc., necessary for the construction of the work as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein, complete and functioning properly 2. Comply with requirements of permits 3. Material testing 4. Protect, relocate, and remove & replace existing pipelines or conduits as shown on the plans or as required for the satisfactory completion of the work 5. Safely handle chemicals, media, and other products used in the treatment process without contamination or pollution of the surrounding environment 6. Maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout construction 7. Restore project work areas upon completion of construction including fine grading, grassing, and painting 8. Operation and maintenance manual preparation 9. Record drawing preparation The Engineers Estimate for the project is $2,345,850.00. The time allotted for this project is 335 days for substantial completion. In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance and a Performance and Payment Bond and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract. The City of Dunedin, Florida, reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, waive any irregularities or informalities, re-advertise, and award the Contract in its best interest. Bids that are incomplete or that are not submitted in accordance with the instructions in the invitation may be disqualified. All contractor Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening. The request should be sent in writing via email to purchasing@dunedin.gov. The City will not respond to RFIs submitted after that date. Question Deadline 05/23/2026
