Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Tsunami Vertical Evacuation Structure (VES) Project The City of Westport is accepting Statements of Qualifications(SOQ) from qualified firms for the Tsunami Vertical Evacuation Structure (VES) Project. The selected firm will provide professional services for the design of a Risk Category IV Tsunami Vertical Evacuation Refuge Structure, intended to shelter occupants during a maximum considered tsunami event. This project is funded through FEMA grants and administered by the Washington State Department of the Military, requiring compliance with Federal Grant Funding Provisions. Scope of Services Qualified firms should demonstrate expertise in: Tsunami modeling and structural engineering Geotechnical and civil engineering Architectural design Environmental review and permitting Public sector projects, including FEMA-funded projects. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
