Renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Canton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,000-square-foot fire / police facility; and for the addition of a 1,000-square-foot fire / police facility.
Scope of Work: The project consists of the renovation of an existing 9,000 sf Post Office building, built in the late 1920's and a building addition approximately 1,000 sf housing their fire Engine. These buildings are to be renovated to a new fire station approximately 10,000 sf for Cherokee County GA. The work includes general site work, site utilities, water, sanitary sewer and storm, hardscapes, landscaping etc. The work also includes demolition of the existing pre-engineered metal building where the fire fighters living quarters are currently housed. Once the fire fighters have moved into the completed building, Demolition of the pre-engineered metal building will commence. The balance of site improvements will be completed upon demolition of the pre-engineered building. Refer to sheet C2.0 showing this last phase of demolition.. The new fire station work will include a total build out of the building which has been previously gutted and abated by Cherokee County.
