For Vendors are invited to submit a bid for Roof Demolition and Asbestos Abatement for the Monroe County Intermediate School District. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, or accept the bid that in the opinion of the Owner, will serve the best interests of the Owner. Monroe, MI 48161 Email: steve.foster@monroeisd.us 1. Roof Demolition and Asbestos Abatement Remove and dispose of approximately 31,450 square feet of asbestos-containing built-up roofing. Utilize power roof cutters equipped with HEPA vacuums and sprayers to minimize dust exposure. Ensure all asbestos-related work complies with applicable MIOSHA and EPA standards Provide all necessary bonding, insurance, and documentation before commencement of work. Lower debris to dumpsters using crane boxes where applicable. Conduct disposal at an EPA-approved landfill. The contractor is responsible for ensuring proper waste handling and transportation. Hold a pre-construction meeting with all applicable parties to discuss project logistics and safety considerations.
