This project renovates the Hansen, Keith, Milnes, and Chinnock (HKMC) Residence Hall complex, providing upgraded programmatic spaces and building infrastructure to improve functionality and efficiency and become compliant with current building codes. New accessible entrances will be constructed for each building in this complex, relocating the main entry from the first floor to the ground floor, and the restrooms/shower rooms on each floor will be comprehensively renovated in each building. Four new circulation stair towers with associated connecting building links will be constructed along with a single new passenger elevator tower with accessible connections to all floors to serve the entire complex. As of January 9, 2026, this project is included in the State's 2025-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). It is still in the conceptual phase. Bidding for construction is likely to be advertised in the summer of 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
