The Town of Guilford requests sealed proposals for exterior repair carpentry, scraping, priming and painting of the Guilford Historical Society Museum Building and repair work on an adjacent shed. The Museum is a single-story building constructed c.1850. This request for proposal includes all labor, material, equipment, and all other services to complete exterior painting of the Guilford Historical Society Museum, located at 4063 Guilford Center Road, Guilford, VT, 05301. The scope includes: Replacing flashing on crown molding around the Historical Society Museum building. Loosening Clapboards on the North Side of the Historical Society Museum Building. Repair work on the door of adjacent shed including replacing and adding new trim. Repair work on window frames and trim as needed. Addressing mildew and mold around the building. The scraping of loose and flaking paint on the entire exterior of the Guilford Historical Society Building and adjacent shed. Respondents should be familiar with and certified to address possible lead paint on the building. Respondents must provide their lead paint certification with their bid. Collection and proper disposal of scraped and otherwise removed paint chips and flakes Priming exposed surfaces in preparation of painting. Painting all exposed surfaces of the Guilford Historical Society Museum and adjacent shed with suggested paint Benjamin Moore Soft Gloss White or Green where appropriate or an equivalent product to match existing color and Mildewcide in final coat. Proposals should provide the following additional information: Cover sheet with company name, address, year of establishment, contact information, and summary of the work that the company does. Please note on the cover sheet if you are a minority or women owned business enterprise as preference will be given to M/WBEs Experience in working with municipalities. List of all applicable licenses and certifications. Proof of general liability insurance with a minimum amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Proof of Workers Compensation Insurance. Submissions must include an itemized schedule of all expenses, including both labor and direct expenses. A maximum budget amount inclusive of all fees and expenses. And work and payment schedule Must be signed and dated by an authorizing company official. The contractor agrees to furnish the necessary labor, equipment and material to perform all work in accordance with the Request for Bid. Project completion is to be no later than 15 October 2025.
