New air-conditioning system school-wide including new mechanical building and equipment enclosure. New equipment includes but is not limited to; Chiller, pumps, plumbing, unit ventilators, package units, electrical and other associated work. Additional work includes demolition and building repairs of existing systems including but not limited to; Classroom unit ventilators, roof top evaporative coolers, evaporative cooler penthouses, roof top package units, curbs, selective roof demolition, associated ductwork, plumbing, and electrical, and other associated work. All questions shall be submitted in writing directly to WCSDs Solicitations website at http://solicitations.washoeschools.net/ or via e-mail to solicitations@washoeschools.net by 4:30 p.m. (Local Time) on June 11, 2025 Each individual bid shall be accompanied by a surety company issued Bid Bond or by a Certified or Cashiers Check made payable to the Washoe County School District, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, said amount to be forfeited to WCSD, should the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract in accordance with the Contractor's bid and any other contract documents and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) days after the delivery of notice of such award. Bid Bonds, upon request, or deposits of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon signing of Contract, or within forty-five (45) days from bid date, whichever is earlier. Contractor must agree that Owner may retain from the monies due the Contractor Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) per day (Liquidated Damages) as a direct result of the Contractor's delay or for not completing the project in the required time allowance plus approved time extensions. The right is reserved by WCSD to reject any and all bids or accept the bid, which is deemed by WCSD to be in the best interest of the school district. WCSD also reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in the submitted bids.
