City of Nome, Texas - ARPA Lift Station Rehabilitation and Force Main Improvements Project. The project scope for the Base Bid includes but is not limited to: Mobilize and prepare site Construct approximately 6,754 LF of 6" sanitary sewer force main by means of open cut or trenchless technology. Jack and bore approximately 261 LF of 10" steel casing and 6" sanitary sewer force main under US-90 and Union Pacific Railroad. Construct proposed gravity sanitary sewer collection lines. Construct and commission new sanitary sewer lift station. Remove or abandon existing sanitary sewer infrastructure to the limits shown in the plans. Seed all disturbed areas and replace any damaged items. Clean up site and demobilize equipment. The project is generally described as the installation of a new lift station, removal of an existing lift station, approximately 7,000 linear feet of 6" sanitary sewer force main, and all improvements necessary for a complete installation as shown in the plans and as required in the contract documents. The right is reserved by the City of Nome, as the City's interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Nome; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Nome for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
