Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
To provide all labour, equipment and materials for the elevator replacement at the Richmond Memorial Community Centre. 1. The Work described herein includes for all labour and material, including overtime, required to meet the agreed project schedule, to modernize one (1) hydraulic elevator located at 6095 Perth Street, Richmond, Ontario, Provincial Number 35618. Provide all work required for a completed project, accepted by the Authority Having Jurisdiction, including: 2. A completed system with an engineered design lifespan of 25 years. 3. New non-proprietary, microprocessor-based, solid-state electrical controller. 4. New pumping unit. 5. New valve. 6. New motor. 7. New oil storage tank. 8 Retain and refurbish existing cylinder and piston. 9. New landing door locks, pick up assemblies, relating system, door closers and related hardware. 10. Completely refurbish the cab interior finishes. 11. New vandal-resistant stainless steel illuminated car and hall push buttons to comply with accessibility requirements. 12. New signals, including car direction and position indicators and lobby position indicators. 13. New heavy-duty car door operator, clutch assembly, and related hardware. 14. Provision of automatic emergency recall and in-car emergency service. 15. A battery-powered safety system to move the car in the event of power failure. 16. Full parts, labour, and all associated code-required preventive maintenance, including all system shutdown callbacks on all elevator components for a subsequent twelve (12) month period after the final inspection certificate has been signed by the Consultant. Provide required demolition and removal and disposal of existing elevator system and all redundant elevator equipment, including machine room, entrances, hoistway, and hall fixtures. 18. Provide required engineering and coordination of various elements and suppliers to provide a complete Code-compliant project. 19. Above is a brief description only. The following specifications detail the complete Work. A bid deposit of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, in the form of an electronic bid bond, is required with this RFT. The electronic bid bond must meet the requirements set out in (b) below. The Bidder agrees that should the Bid be withdrawn within the stated Bid Acceptance Period, the Bid deposit may be forfeited to the City. No interest shall be payable on any bid deposit. Performance security will be required from the successful Bidder prior to the execution of a Contract or the issuance of a purchase order. Such performance security will be a Performance and a Labour and Material Payment Bond each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price from a surety company in a form that is acceptable to the City. The performance security will be retained until completion of the Contract to the satisfaction of the City. The performance security amount may be reduced at various stages of the project, at the discretion of the City Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Award subject to final approval.
