This Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) is an advisory to the industry for the upcoming Two Stage Procurement (RFPQ & ITT) that BGIS will be issuing for a General Contractor to provide construction services for the Major General G.R. Pearkes Waste Diversion Project at 101 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON, K1A 0K2. The project scope involves reconfiguration and upgrade of an existing Classified Waste Disposal Area to accommodate replacement of the document disintegrator, complete with ducting to a loading dock disposal bin. Both existing disintegrators are currently out of commission. The existing disposal bin is connected to an existing vacuum shaker that distributes the shredded material to create more space in the bin. There is another room within the space that contains an existing Hard Drive Disposal (HDD) unit. This unit will be replaced with a new HDD unit. The work will involve the removal and replacement of the two existing disintegrators and HDD Unit.
