The City of Waltham, Massachusetts invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Renovations at the Kennedy Middle School Kitchen, 655 Main Street, Waltham, Massachusetts. This project includes Electrical and Plumbing upgrades as well as purchase and installation of new Kitchen Equipment and includes removal and disposal of old equipment. To be given consideration, all general bids and allsub-bids must be accompanied by a copy of the Bidder's DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility (DCPO Form CQ7) and a DCAMM Update Statement (DCPO Form CQ3). The General Bidder must be certified eligible in the GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION category and the filed sub-bidders must be certified in their respective categories. Question Deadline 03/13/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Questions and requests for interpretations may be submitted in writing by Bidders via e-mail ONLY to cphilpott@city.waltham.ma.us. The work of the Contract shall be Substantially Complete by August 1st, 2025 after the date of the Notice-to-Proceed. Each general bid, and each sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Waltham in the amount of five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.
