Interior Improvements associated with the installation of an Automated Materials Handling System The City of Sheboygan is soliciting bids for limited interior improvements at Mead Public Library to make provisions for the installation of an automated materials handling system to streamline the return of library materials. Bidders are required to furnish bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total base bid amount. The awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project bid amount. Prevailing Wage Rates are not a requirement for this project. The project will include masonry work, installation of owner purchased book return slots, infill of an existing return slot and modifications to a material return window from the main lobby of the Library. Also included will be the addition of electrical and date connections to support the new equipment. Connection of the new equipment to both electrical and data will be performed by the equipment manufacturer. The awarded Contractor will be required to furnish a certificate of insurance naming the City of Sheboygan as additionally insured prior to the start of any work related to the project. All proposals received become the property of The City of Sheboygan and must remain in effect not less than sixty (60) days beyond the proposal submission deadline. Proposals submitted may be withdrawn up and until the proposal deadline. The City of Sheboygan reserves the right to reject any proposals received, cancel this solicitation, waive any informality associated with the proposal process and award the contract deemed to be in the best interest of The City of Sheboygan
