Washington County Public Schools will accept sealed bids for the purpose of establishing a contract for Electrical Distribution Replacement at Hancock Middle Senior High School. Deadline for Written Questions Submission: March 18, 2025, by 2:00 PM EST Bid Inquiries to: Mr. Scott Bachtell Supervisor of Purchasing (WCPS) Phone (301) 766-2842; Email: bachtsco@wcps.k12.md.us. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a minimum period of ninety (90) calendar days after the day of the bid opening. The overall certified MBE subcontracting goal for this project is 16 % with no sub goals. BIDDING REQUIREMENTS Bid Security Bond in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid is required from all Bidders. The Bid Security Bond serves as security for obtaining Performance Bond and Payment Bonds in 100% of the Contract amount from the successful bidder within ten (10) days from Notice of Award of the Contract. Bidder must use the AIA bond form versions provided herein. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, select alternates in any order and to make the award in the manner that the WCBOE determines will best serve the interests of WCPS. Work of the Project includes the following: 1. Replacement of electrical distribution system including panelboards, feeders and selected branch circuits. 2. Installation of new emergency generator, automatic transfer switches, docking station and associated excavation, concrete pads, fence enclosure, and feeders. 3. Connection of new and replacement panelboards to the emergency power systems. 4. Recircuiting and connections of selected light fixtures to emergency power system. 5. Installation of new docking station, automatic transfer switch and selected panels for use as MEMA emergency shelter. 6. Recircuiting and connections of selected power, lighting and HVAC equipment to the designated MEMA panelboards. 7. Product Submittals. 8. Startup and testing of all equipment. 9. Permitting and all required inspections for the work of this contract. 10. As-built documentation and O&M Manuals. B. Perform Work of Contract under fixed cost Contract with Owner according to Conditions of Contract.
