As of April 29, 2025, project has been awarded to Youngblood Paving, Inc with the awarded amount of $1,455,911.93 r the following project: Milling and Resurfacing of Various Roads - Sope of work to involve approximately 105,215 S.Y. of - 2" +/- Mill and Resurface, 1,381 S.Y. of Base Repairs, Replacement of Traffic Signal Loop Detectors, 90,715 S.Y of 2" of 9.5mm Fine Graded 0 to 0.3 Million Esal's Wearing Surace, 14,500 S.Y. of 2" of 9.5mm Fine Graded 0.3 to 3 Million Esal's Wearing Surface, Pavement Markings consisting of 4" Double Yellow, 4" Single White, Cross Walks, Stop Bars, Directional Arrows, Wording, Traffic Control and the necessary preparatory and cleanup work. Alternate Bid will be taken for the use of Forta Fiber or approved equal in the Wearing Surface. The contract is anticipated to will be awarded on March 24, 2025. All bids submitted must have the contractor's valid pre-qualification certification attached to the outside of the bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages apply to this project. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Town of McCandless in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. I The Town of McCandless reserves the right to award the contract consisting of any or all roads within the scope of work. The Town of McCandless reserves the right to add or delete roads and/or quantities at the unit prices bid.
