As of July 18, the project has been awarded to Bronder Technical Services, Inc. with the awarded amount of $2,186,522.89. This project involves signal improvements at the following intersections: Ingomar Road (SR 4070) and Blazier/Powers Drive, Duncan Avenue (SR 4024) and Peebles Road (SR 4064), Peebles Road (SR 4064) and McIntyre Square Drive/Vincentian Academy Driveway, Peebles Road (SR 4064) and Remington Drive, Perry Highway (SR 0019) and Nineteen N Drive, and Thompson Run Road and Hazlet/Red Coach Road, including, but not limited to, purchase and installation of all proposed equipment upgrades; all restoration; all temporary MPT to maintain traffic; and any and all other items as defined in the scope of work. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages apply to this project. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Town of McCandless in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to the Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw the Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting the Proposal guarantee. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder. In addition, Bidders are advised that the Town reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason; and reserves the right to waive any informality therein Electronic copies will be available at no charge upon request.
