Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Berkeley, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; and for paving for a stadium.
The Berkeley Campus of the University of California requests that interested firms submit written statements of qualifications to provide executive architectural consultant services in support of Phase 3 design work. Professional Design Services to be included at a minimum; conduct a code analysis of the existing conditions of occupancy, existing, accessibility, etc. so that the full scope of work can be confirmed and budgeted, develop construction details, permit documents, assist with bidding and provide construction administration services in support of the Phase 3 scope. The Project consists of 3 phases of work. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are complete or underway. Goring & Straja are the DP for Phase 1 and Phase 2. This is a barrier removal project. The scope of work has a firm completion of August 2027. The feature, fixture, space, or improvement in question shall be designed and/or constructed and/or installed to meet all applicable requirements of (i) ADAS and (ii) the currently enforceable and relevant provisions of the CBC. This RFQ is for Phase 3 Design Professional (DP) service. Deadline for questions: no later than 4:00p.m. Pacific, 03/12/2025. The tentative schedule for completion of review of submittals, interview of short-listed firms, and selection of the executive architect consultant is anticipated to occur in April 2025.
