** As of MAY 05,2025 project has been awarded to Feriozzi Concrete Company in the amount of $1,551,633.25.** The project generally consists of roadway improvements along Ridgewood Avenue between Broad Street and Clematis Avenue, in addition to roadway improvements along Clematis Avenue between Ridgewood Avenue and Plaza Place. The project also includes the in-kind replacement of the sanitary sewer main and laterals. Sewer main improvements include approximately: 1,650 LF 8 diameter Polyvinyl chloride sewer pipe, 655 LF 6 Polyvinyl Chloride Sewer Pipe Lateral, and 8 sanitary sewer manholes. Roadway improvements include approximately: 4,730 CY excavation, 6,635 SY pulverized-in-place subbase, 1,760 TN HMA19M64 base course, 965 TN HMA9.5M64 surface course, 3,880 LF of concrete curb, 1,975 SY of concrete sidewalk, 325 SY concrete driveway, ADA accessible curb ramps, traffic striping, and any and all associated work. Bidders are strongly encouraged to mail in their bid package. If bids are to be dropped off in person, it must be done by appointment in coordination with Pleasantville City Hall (609-484-3600,18 N. First Street, Pleasantville) The project sponsor has identified that the SED utilization goal for this project is 10%. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within twenty-one (21) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bonds. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, may be substituted for certified check or cash. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Experience and Certificate of Equipment. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the City of Pleasantville, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. The City Council of the City of Pleasantville reserves the right to reject any or all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
