Site work for a civil project in Rainelle, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
CONTRACT #1 - WATER LINE REPLACEMENTS The work shall consist of installation of 3,800 LF of 6" PVC C900, 2,055 LF of 8" PVC C900, 7 EA 6" Gate Valves, 4 EA 8" Gate Valves, 35 LF of 12" Bore & Jack Steel Casing, 95 LF of 16" Bore & Jack Steel Casing, 12 EA Connection to existing Water Lines, Reconnection of 47 EA Service Lines, 570 LF of 3/4 " PE Service Line and all other necessary appurtenances. CONTRACT #2 - WATER METER REPLACEMENTS The work shall consist of installing 1,028-meter pits, replacing approximately 975 water meters with cellular read meters, reconnection to existing service lines, surface restoration and all necessary appurtenances for a fully functioning metering system as shown on the drawings and outlined in the specifications. CONTRACT #3 - WATER STORAGE TANK IMPROVEMENTS The work shall consist of improvements to the Edger Hill and Grant Street Water Storage Tanks, including installing safety equipment, handrails / gates, pressure washing, applying protective coating, miscellaneous repairs and all necessary appurtenances. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas(SBRAs). This procurement is subject to the EPA policy for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) utilization. As stated in the Instruction for Bidders, DBE Forms 6100-2, 6100-3 and 6100-4 must be completed and included with the Bidder's required bid documents. If a Bidder isn't planning on using any subcontractors, then he/she shall mark "N/A" in the appropriate locations on the forms. If a Bidder is planning on using a sub-contractor(s), but is below the DBE participation goals, then he/she shall include documentation of good faith effort to involve DBE firms and include such documentation with the required bid documents. The Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders or requirements under Section 306 of the Clean Air Act, 42 USC 1857 (h), Section 508 of the Clean Water Act, 33 USC 1368, Executive Order 11738, and EPA regulations, 40 CFR Part 32, which prohibits the use under non-exempt Federal contracts, grants, or loans of facilities included on the EPA List of Violating Facilities. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining approval from Ohio EPA for use of temporary pumping facilities, piping and other items in order to complete the project without any plant by- passing. Continuous treatment must be provided at the same level during construction as existed prior to construction. Unless otherwise previously or subsequently specified, the Contractor shall procure and pay for all permits, licenses, and approvals necessary for the execution of his Contract. The Contractor shall comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, orders, and regulations relating to the performance of the work required to complete their Contract. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Engineer's estimate of construction cost for Contract #1 is $969,560.00. The Engineer's estimate of construction cost for Contract #2 is $3,062,290.00. The Engineer's estimate of construction cost for Contract #3 is $541,250.00.
