The Town of Rockingham, VT is accepting bids from contractors to install a new sewer main, services, water curb stops, sidewalks, gravel road base and 4" of pavement on Laurel Avenue in Bellows Falls, VT. The project includes the removal of the existing pavement and sidewalk north of Hyde Hill, excavation to subgrade and the installation of new gravel base. BIDDER hereby proposes to perform all work in accordance with the attached Scope of Work and General Construction Notes and Requirements at the prices stated below. BIDDER hereby agrees to complete the work under the contract between June 1, 2025 and October 1, 2025. In the event the work is not completed by October 1, 2025, BIDDER agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of five hundred ($500.00) dollars for each consecutive calendar day until work is complete. Upon receipt of these two bonds, the Town will issue a Purchase Order to the Chosen Contractor. A Bid Bond is required with the bid submittal. The Town reserves the right: (1) to accept or reject any or all Bids in whole or in part and to accept other than the lowest price proposal; (2) to amend, modify, or withdraw this Request for Bids; (3) to require supplemental statements or information from bidders; (4) to extend the deadline for responses to this Request for Bids; (5) to waive or correct any irregularities in Bids received; (6) to negotiate separately with one or more competing bidders; and (7) to award the bid deemed in the best interest of the Town. All bids, upon submission, become the property of the Town.
