The City of Ottawa has a requirement for a Contractor to provide all labour, materials, and equipment to underake fire hydrant painting services in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions of the attached Request for Tenders (RFT). The period of contract shall commence on the issuance of a purchase order and shall end on 15 March 2026. The City may, at its discretion, extend the period of contract for four (4) additional one (1) year extension options subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and provided the contract pricing, terms and conditions for the extended period are acceptable to the City and the Contractor. A performance security will be required from the successful bidder prior to the execution of a contract or the placing of a purchase order. Such performance security may, at the discretion of the City, be either in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price, in the form of cash, a cheque certified by the bank upon which it is drawn, a money order, an irrevocable bank letter of credit with an auto renewal clause (draft form provided by the City of Ottawa), OR a Renewable Performance Bond for a Multi-Year Contract with an Emergency Remedial Measures Rider in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Total Tender Price from a surety company authorized by law to carry out business in the Province of Ontario. The performance security will be retained until completion of the contract to the satisfaction of the City. The performance security may be reduced at various stages of the project, at the discretion of the City. The City may accept any bid, whether it is the lowest or not, or may reject any or all bids.
