The Town of Fort Erie is seeking to retain an experienced, qualified engineering consultant to provide engineering services for contract preparation and delivery of the program to identify inflow and infiltration in the wastewater collection system, thereby reducing overflows, risk of basement flooding, and providing additional sewer capacity for development growth. Contract preparation services for this assignment will be completed through the review of existing information and previously completed pre-design study works to confirm scope of work. Three (3) Contractor Procurement documents and contract specifications will be prepared. It will be the consultant's responsibility to recommend an appropriate contractor procurement method for each solicitation, Tender or NRFP. The consultant will assist the Town with the solicitation process, proposal evaluations and contract award as well as provide contract administration and inspection services related to mainline sewer, maintenance hole repairs and lateral rehabilitation. Field investigation for this assignment will be completed through smoke and dye testing, a desktop assessment and curbside drainage surveys. The Town is seeking to implement a remedial action plan to reduce I&I. The recommendations from this study will be reviewed and executed through a separate trenchless repair project.
