Bid description :Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Todd Darden, City Manager. Each sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside as "2025 SEAL COAT" and the envelope shall bear on the outside the Bidder's name and address. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope and addressed to Todd Darden, City Manager, 310 Nolan Street, Big Spring, TX 79720. This project consists of approximately 202,000 SY of seal coat of city streets as specified and shown on the drawings. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Big Spring, negotiable U.S. Government bonds(at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding of the contract. All bids must be made on the required bid form. All blank spaces for bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the bid must be fully completed and executed when submitted.
